“Plug and play ” is a term that should be used loosely when it comes to any modification – be it a car, motorcycle, website, or your soon-to-be electric boat. When I was a kid “plug and play” meant just that. You PLUG in your game console and you PLAY it. It took about 5 minutes on a slow day.
Plug and play for an electric boat motor is a bit of a different concept. Once you rip the old motor(s) out and clean the bilge – as seen in previous posts – you have to prep the bilge and think how exactly you are going to fit the motor so that the propshaft(s) aligns with the gear reduction shaft.
